The Anvil Stone, Baslow Edge
Fiery sunset at the Anvil Stone on Baslow Edge. After a long day in front of the computer doing some admin, I looked out the window to see some dramatic clouds with a gap on the horizon, perfect for sunset. Kicking myself that I only had half an hour before sunset and for not heading out earlier, I rushed out to Baslow Edge. With just 10 minutes to go, I sprinted along the edge and set up behind the anvil stone. The elements didn’t let me down and I was rewarded with an explosion of colour!
About Baslow Edge:
Baslow Edge sits high above the village of Baslow on the eastern edge of the Peak District National Park. This iconic gritstone is one of the smaller edges found in the area but still offers stunning views and many interesting gritstone formations.
