Ramshaw Rocks Heather
Ramshaw Rocks Heather. These jagged rocky crags are one of the most distinctive and photogenic areas in the Peak District. Whilst great at any time of year they really come to life in August, surrounded by beautiful purple heather.
About Ramshaw Rocks:
Ramshaw Rocks near Leek in the Staffordshire Peak District. This dramatic rocky edge is often overlooked in favour of the neighbouring Roaches, which together with Hen Cloud form a gritstone escarpment, which is very popular with hikers and rock climbers. They are best viewed from Leek road, where they stand as a line of menacing jagged crags shaped by the elements over the centuries.
