Chrome and Parkhouse Whiteout – Peak District Photography
Snowy winter view from Hitter Hill looking towards the jagged peaks of Chrome and Parkhouse in the Derbyshire Peak District. I reached the summit of the hill just in time to capture a blizzard that engulfed the hills, causing a complete whiteout. Although this image appears black and white, it’s actually full colour.
About Chrome and Parkhouse Hills:
The distinctive Chrome and Parkhouse hills are the remains of reef knolls believed to have existed during the Carboniferous period when the Peak District was covered by a tropical sea.
