Carl Wark to Higger Tor
Classic summertime view towards Higger Tor from the Iron Age Hill fort of Carl Wark. This eroded rock-basin is often full of water, making an interesting foreground.
Carl Wark About the Burbage Valley
Burbage Edge lies on the eastern side of the Peak District National Park and is in fact just eight miles west of the centre of Sheffield making it an extremely popular walking and climbing hotspot. The Burbage Valley features two famous gritstone outcrops Higger Tor and Carl Wark, the latter of which is topped with the remains of what is thought to be a Bronze or Iron Age hill fort.
