Bempton Cliffs Gannet Group
A group of Gannets showing a pair ‘billing’, photographed at RSPB’s Bempton Cliffs Nature Reserve in the East Riding of Yorkshire. These impressive chalk cliffs on the Yorkshire coast are home to 250,000 birds, making it the best place to see sea birds in the whole of England! Gannets are monogamous and may remain together for several mating seasons, potentially for their entire lives. The pairs separate when mating season ends and they head out to see but pair up again the following year when they return to the shore.
