Back Tor – Derwent Edge
Back Tor, Derwent Edge, Peak District National Park. The whole of Derwent Edge is a paradise for photographers with plenty of wildlife and various interesting gritstone tors which have been shaped by the elements over the centuries to form intricate shapes. This particular rock formation is known as Back Tor and is in fact the highest point on Derwent Edge at 538m, offering stunning panoramic views over the Peak District National Park. Despite the elevation it’s a relatively easy walk up to here from Snake Pass and the views more than make up for the effort
