The Archival Fine Art Giclee prints are printed on paper by Hahnemuhle, one of the world’s oldest paper mills. Hahnemuhle has been producing high quality paper for more than 420 years, supplying their traditional artists’ papers in a coated version for creative digital artists and photographers. The natural structure and elegance of the papers combined with the special surface coating for inkjet printers enables unique reproductions to be made displaying an unrivalled colour gamut and brilliancy. All of the papers are at least 250gsm in weight and have a very low acidity level (pH7 to pH10).
The hinge mounts are all 45 degree bevel cut, and 100% acid free, using Arqadia conservation quality mountboard and acid-free linen tape. By using a hinge-mount the print is allowed to breathe, mitigating the rippling effect that can occur with art papers in humid conditions. Conservation mountboard is essential for artwork as it will not stain or leak over time. All mounts meet FATG (Fine Art Trade Guild) Conservation level and pass both the Silver Tarnish Test and the Photographic Activity Test. Mounting ensures the longevity of the artwork and creates a space between the print and the glass of the frame.
