About The Oriental magpie-robin:
Oriental magpie-robins (Copsychus saularis) are small passerine birds part of the Old World Flycatcher family. These distinctive black and white birds occur across the Indian subcontinent and parts of Southeast Asia. Here they can be seen in a diverse range of habitats such as urban gardens, scrubland and forests. They are particularly well known for their distinctive songs which once made them very popular as cagebirds. Oriental magpie-robins are the national bird of Bangladesh.
