About Venice Grand Canal , Canal Grande:

The Venice Grand Canal is the major waterway running through the beautiful Italian city of Venice. At 2.4 miles long, the banks of the canal are lined  with extravagant palazzos mainly dating from the the 13th to 18th centuries. The waterway features four iconic bridges; Ponte di Calatrava, Ponte degli Scalzi, Ponte di Rialto and the Ponte dell’Accadmia, the latter of which offers this stunning view towards the Basilica Santa Maria della Salute and out to the lagoon basin.
