The Fairy Pools 3
The crystal clear water at the fairy pools, Isle of Skye. This natural channel has been eroded over the centuries and was perfect to show the turquoise water.
One of the most famous and beautiful locations on Skye, the fairy pools are certainly deserving of their reputation. The path up towards the mountains passes countless interesting waterfalls and pools of turquoise water. Truly a landscape photographers paradise, I could have easily spent all day finding compositions here.
About the Fairy Pools, Isle of Skye
The Fairy Pools are one of the most beautiful and iconic hotspots for photographers and hikers alike. The crystal clear pools of water and stunning cascades make this one of the most magical places in all of Scotland. The main pools are accessed via a 2.4km track from the car park along the River Brittle towards the Black Cuillins. Here the largest and most popular the waterfalls is positioned perfectly for a view up towards the imposing mountain tops. It is well worth continuing further along the track though as the smaller pools further up are equally stunning.
