Snake Pass Car Trails
After a long muddy hike around Snake Pass searching for new viewpoints, I eventually reached this view over Ladybower and the Ashopton Viaduct. Despite the very flat light, I like the strong winding shapes of the car tail lights running through the frame.
About the Snake Pass and Ladybower Reservoir:
Ladybower Reservoir is the lowest of three reservoirs in the Upper Derwent Valley in the Derbyshire Peak District National Park. The Viaduct, part of the A57 route, takes its name from Ashopton, which was a small village in Derbyshire in the early 1940s. The village along with neighbouring Derwent, was submerged to create Ladybower Reservoir as we know it now.
