Hazy morning light illuminates the iconic gritstone formation at Over Owler Tor. On this morning there was a stunning deep frost with an inversion bubbling away in the valley below, great conditions for landscape photography! Peak District National Park.

Over Owler Tor:

Over Owler Tor, best accessed from Surprise View car park, is a gritstone escarpment sitting high above the now abandoned gritstone quarry at Millstone Edge. The area has a variety of distinctive rock formations, the best known of which is the Mother Cap. Over Owler Tor offers stunning panoramic views of the Hope Valley and the famous view towards Carl Wark and Higger Tor.
