About Tawny Owls
The tawny owl is one of the most commonly found owls in mainland Britain (They are absent from Ireland and many other UK islands), widespread throughout both urban and rural habitats. Despite the high density of the tawny owl they are rarely seen due to their nocturnal nature. They are easily identified by their familiar call of ‘tu-woo’ or ‘kee-wick’.
