Whitby Abbey is a ruined Benedictine abbey, set high up on the headland above the popular northern seaside town of Whitby, in North Yorkshire, England. It is a Grade I Listed building currently in the care of English Heritage. The building is steeped in history and it is easy to see how Bram Stoker found some of his inspiration for ‘Dracula’ after staying in Whitby in 1890.
